How do I choose my length and tip option for my cable?

Please keep in mind the VOLTA XL only comes with one type of tip option (USB-C) and one length (1.8M/5.9FT) so there are no options for these, this is talked about in the descriptions of the products on BackerKit. However, with the VOLTA Original cables, you CAN choose since they come in 4 different lengths. We are however aware that on the Indiegogo campaign we have two options for the lengths of the VOLTA XL, however, this is something we needed to change and we had to finalize on having just one length option of 1.8M/5.9FT for all the VOLTA XL cables. Thinking of changing what you ordered to something else?

Please keep in mind if you choose the option to change items you will lose the pricing you paid for them on Indiegogo. For example, if you paid $21 on Indiegogo for a cable and want to change the length to another cable it will be at a different price than what you paid. As the pricing on BackerKit is different to the special discounted rates you may have gotten on Indiegogo. When changing items what happens is simply that you get accredited the amount of money you paid for your items on Indiegogo and then can use that credit to change or purchase new items.

Why do some Add-ons cost more than what we paid for them on Indiegogo?

Whatever price you paid on Indiegogo for the items you got will not change. However, if you are wanting to purchase more items as add-ons to your order you will find some items have increased. And this is simply because we set up our pricing on Indiegogo at a special discounted rate, now our pricing is back to our standard cost that you can find on the VOLTA website at www.voltacharger.com

I backed the campaign multiple times but I only got one backer kit survey.

Due to the fact there are thousands of surveys to be sent out via backer kit, it can take some time as they don't get all sent in one big hit. Give it at least a 24hrs from the 27th of September 2018 for you to receive ALL your surveys (one for each time you backed the campaign) if after those 24HRS you still have not got a survey for each time you backed the campaign please use the contact us button and we will fix it up for you!

I made multiple contribution to the original campaign, and would like my pledges merged to reduce my shipping fees.

In order to merge your pledges together to save on your shipping fees, we'll first need all of your surveys to be completed. If you have multiple surveys, you can complete all of them from the same survey invite email you originally received. Go ahead and click through your first survey until you see a yellow bar that says "You have multiple surveys for this project" — click on that to complete any remaining incomplete surveys. The survey will not charge you when you finish, so no worries if you need to enter your CC — any due balance for shipping will be removed once WE merge YOUR orders. Once ALL OF your surveys are finished, feel free to reach out to us using the "contact us" option below to have your pledges merged so that you only get charged for shipping once, please make sure you finish ALL your surveys and only then contact us regarding this so we can manually resolve it for you and fix it all up. =)

I recently backed the project and have not received my survey, how can I get it?

If you've made a contribution on Indiegogo InDemand, it will take 10 days for your order to import into our system. On day 11, you will receive an email with your survey automatically. Thanks for your patience!

BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.

Why can’t I log into my account?

Request a login link to your survey by entering your email here:

BackerKit will send you an automated email with an invite link to whatever email you pledged with.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

Can I upgrade or get multiple copies of my pledge?

This depends on the project creator’s decision. If you are unable to see the ‘Want to switch your pledge level?’ after clicking on your pledge amount under “Pledge Level” in your survey, then the project creator would prefer people not to switch pledge levels.
